Network Glia e.V. was founded in 2011 with the goal of enhancing public awareness for a defined cell type of the brain, the so-called glial cells, and for diseases related to glial cells. This is what this website is for. The publication of printed material and brochures on glial cell function is in preparation. This material will be available free of charge.
In addition, Network Glia e.V. aims at strengthening glial cell research and especially supporting young scientists active in the field. This includes the organization of scientific meetings, also in collaboration with other learned societies, and the awarding of stipends for students, Ph.D. students and young researchers to enable them to attend conferences or educational workshops abroad. |
